Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) was an American actress. Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Bassett was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister aged five, old, moved out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the divorced father. Bassett decided to be an actress after seeing the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) with a focus on African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American study) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
